Compressor out at 2-1/2 years, parts unavailable!

LOVED this frig until the compressor went out. Been waiting almost 2 months and the part is not available from South Korea, so Best Buy is refunding my money per the extended warranty. Turns out there are class action suits for the compressor problems, so I am not buying another LG as the repair man said the compressor will go out again after my warranty expires. I am so disappointed!

I have had this refrigerator less than two weeks, and I just discovered it has been leaking water. This has been going on for two days and Best Buy cannot schedule someone to come out and fix it.

Has quit working after only 17 months. Called for warranty help and was told the authorized repair company would call within 24-48 hours. After waiting 2 With no call we were told our appointment was canceled because our serial # did not contain the letters ( I read it back to the person on the phone twice ) . We then had to go home and call it back in. We were told the service company would call ( A & E ) We received a text within minutes with an appointment 4 days out. Within an hour we got a call stating we need to call back and reschedule again which we did. This was for 3 days out. Then Saturday another call stating we need to reschedule again. We called and they are closed. Sunday another call saying we need to to call them again. Called immediately, closed again. We have. I am staring to think they want to give you the run Long enough to frustrate you into just going out and buying a new one so they donÕt have to repair their poor workmanship or defective parts. We have lost all of our food and are starting week 2 with no refrigerator. Will have to call in the morning and try and ge5 through and get an appointment.

This is the most expensive refrigerator we've ever purchased and by far THE WORST. We bought it from our local Best Buy. After having it for only two years, the food wasn't being kept cold in either the fridge or the freezer. We didn't buy the extended warranty thinking that we paid enough money for what seemed like a good product. It had lots of positive reviews, probably written just after the product was installed, not years later. We had to call a local service technician who said that the defrost heater had to be replaced which we did three months ago. The tech explained that cheaply made foreign parts are often unreliable. Now the same problem is happening, except the fridge door is also leaking water and we can't see why. We even downloaded the LG Smart ThinQ app to help in troubleshooting. The diagnosis said that things were running normally but it detected that the fridge door was open. (It wasn't.) I sent these results to Customer Service and have received no response. I even tried calling Customer Service a few times and have been on perpetual hold. Do not buy this fridge. It has all these bells and whistles but can't even do the thing we purchased it for -- to keep food cold!! What a total disappointment and a waste of money!!
